Welcome to my last lounge review in BKK for 2024
A review of Turkish Airlines Star Alliance Gold Lounge at Bangkok
Introduction
At this point of time (Sept 2024), Turkish Airlines operates 2 daily flights from Istanbul to Bangkok and the departure timing for both flights are 0615 and 2250. However, it opens for 24 hours so apart from these 2 flights, any passengers flying with other airlines in the Star Alliance and members of the Priority Pass can access this lounge. So without further ado, let's begin this lounge review.

Welcome to Turkish Airlines Lounge!
The entrance to the lounge
The interior of the lounge
The lounge isn't big and just like my previous visit to the Thai's Orchid Lounge at Concourse E, there is nothing much to get excited about this lounge.
Basically this is one huge room, breaks up into different section with a mix of different chairs for you to relax.
There are a few rooms in this lounge, this includes a conference room, relaxing room and a business centre.
This is the relaxing room.
I was fortunate to visit during the off peak period. I don't think this lounge would be a best place to visit when it is crowded.
Lots of empty space at this part of the lounge.

Turkish coffee is worth a try.
Fortunate for me, the staff nearby assisted me by helping me make a cup of coffee.
At this point, I was quite full so I settled for a cup of coffee and a bottle of water.

Conclusion
This is generally a lounge that offers some of the basic needs for the travellers, more suitable for off peak periods such as night time as the lounge may probably be less crowded and also with the limited choices of food and beverages, this may work to the traveller's favour as most of us tend to eat lesser especially around supper time. Personally I find the lounge to be alright and during my time there, I was able to enjoy my brief stay with a delicious cup of coffee and some quiet time over there. The good wifi connection also enable me to get some work done. While this may not the best lounge in Bangkok, I think it is a good alternative if one dislikes crowd and comparing this to the Thai Lounge in my previous review, I prefer this lounge for the newer interior but for food selection, Thai's lounge is better.
Fortunately, lounge hopping is possible at Bangkok Airport so make sure you give yourself enough time to do so.
That concludes my lounge hopping experience at BKK airport (Sept 2024), hope you find my review useful.
