Hotel Review: Washington Hotel Kansai Airport (Osaka)

Welcome to my hotel review in Osaka!

Introduction

During my stay in Osaka, I spent the majority of my stay at an Airbnb located just outside the city area and I decided for the last 2 nights, I would prefer to stay close to the airport and this hotel came into my mind as it was located not only near the airport but there are shopping malls and a park nearby. This shopping malls features factory outlets of clothes and shoes, very ideal for some last minute shopping before departure. In addition, the price for a night at this hotel was very reasonable and I thought why not enjoyed my last 2 nights in this hotel before heading home.

Background of the hotel

This hotel is located on the shore opposite the Osaka Kansai Airport and is one of the few airport hotels located in Rinku to offer a comfortable stay or layover, suitable for travellers passing by or a quick nap during the transit period. This 4-star hotel was opened in 2000 and has a total of 504 rooms consisting of different rooms depending on the needs of the traveller.

The address of the hotel is 1-7, Rinku Orai-Kita, Izumisano-City, Osaka, 598-5822, Japan.

My final thoughts

I had a comfortable 2-night stay at this hotel as I was able to explore the nearby Rinco park and the shopping malls during the free time. Comparing this hotel with the other around, the hotel rate is cheaper and yet offers a good and comfortable room. Although the hotel is not new, at least the room is clean and the bed is comfortable. I was able to get some work done with the strong wifi connection. For a long layover (less than 24 hours), this hotel is definitely suitable for a short stay and one can arrange for the hotel shuttle as they depart every hour can be done at one of the monitor screens in the lobby.

After a week at my Airbnb which was located next to the railway track, this was certainly a welcome stay for me especially my ears as I had to deal with the constant track noise from both the local and express trains passing throughout the operating hours.

I certainly recommend this hotel especially if you are looking for one near the Kansai Airport.

Hope you find this information useful.

P.S This review is based on my personal experience.

Thanks for reading and have a good one!
